LiFEPO4 batteries are excellent for solar charging and the camera is configured to charge them through its built in MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) battery charger using a solar panel or wall outlet adapter.   These batteries are very durable, can be recharged many times, and are excellent in solar and outdoor applications.
 
No batteries are perfect though so this 3 battery set makes an excellent backup set to have on hand.
